Water is my element, but more specifically frozen water. But what am I talking about? Well, I want to insinuate ice-skating. For the last three years, ice-skating has been a real passion. The first year I discovered this type of sport, I suddenly became obsessed and one always could find me on the skating rink.
I learned my first moves at an outdoor ice skating rink which had terrible ice but its mesmerizing light bulbs, rhythmic music and charming little children made it magical. Wether it was snowing or raining, it did not matter – I was addicted. People who were often there started to become familiar and I was growing emotionally attached to those little girls who also had a passion for skating. After substantially improving my skills, I began giving lessons to children with a skillful rollerblader who was as good on ice. It definitely was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. My heart melted every time those charming young ladies said they would like to be like me when they grew up.
The next season I decided to abandon my self-taught strategies and started taking lessons from a professional. Learning how to jump and spin was so exciting and I got my technique up to a good level quite quickly.
I have decided to leave you without an end to this « story of my life », so that you can decide it for yourself 🙂 The following photos were taken at that magical ice skating rink I was once a frequent visitor of. I hope you’ll like them as much as I do.
