DIY: Diary/Notebook Watercolor Cover

Hey everyone, today I share with you my first DIY blog post: Diary/Notebook Cover

Every time I want to find some inspiring ideas, I enter in the URL bar. There are zillions of awesome DIYs, outfits and others that stimulate my imagination but also motivate me to update my blog posts.
Originally, this watercolor cover is Nat’s idea, from My Sister’s Suitcase, but I adjusted it to my own needs. I found it on pinterest, of course, and tried it, and here’s the final result.
In case you want to do it yourself, you will need the following items:
  • Watercolor & watercolor paper sheets if you want to paint the design yourself
  • Scissors
  • Double sided tape or glue – depending on what the cover of your diary/notebook is made out of
  • Plastic book cover – if you don’t want stains on your cover

Firstly, I painted the shape above myself but you can easily download it from here, there are three options.
Secondly, I made this photo in Canva (it is very quick and easy), printed it and glued it in the middle of this pattern.

Then I stuck the new cover onto the old one using double-sided tape.

As the back was black and therefore, didn’t match my cover, I decided to print some pictures in a collage and glued it to this surface.
Finally, I used this youtube video in order to apply the plastic book cover.

Now that my 2016 – 2017 diary is done, I am ready for the back to school/college season! Are you?

P.S. Sorry for my messy watercolor 🙂
Thank you for your precious time and don’t forget to smile
